  • I was looking for a proper professional subbuteo table for my spare room. I also needed it to disassemble easy for storage purposes. I came across the flick for kicks tables via a friend and bought one immediately. They are the best tables I have seen and I use mine every couple of days. Well worth it!!............

  • I organised most of the educational and interactive sessions around our temporary exhibition ‘More than a Game: Scotland’s influence on world football’ which ran throughout the summer of 2013 at Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery in Glasgow. We borrowed two tables from Flicks for Kicks and used these for drop-in Subbuteo sessions in both the museum shop and in the main gallery. These sessions were always very popular and attracted people from different generations. Many of the younger kids were being exposed to the game for the first time and were excited and full of enthusiasm to learn to play a game their mums and dads played when they were young. We also used the tables as part of our wider learning programme and took them out to local libraries along with our football handling kit to do outreach with community groups who weren’t able to get to the exhibition. They were very easy to fold up and transport. The football table was a big success and I would highly recommend for groups of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. It was fun, educational and more importantly it was a great intergenerational toy!
